A rich identity
Blackguard Knights Esports (Blackguard) is the extension of an online gaming community originally built around the game Destiny 2. Blackguard, within its competitive ecosystem, is a nationally recognizable esports organization, and fields teams for a range of competitive titles such as Dota 2, Valorant, Counter Strike 2, and principally Destiny 2.The scope of the project encompasses the full Blackguard Knights eSports identity system, including a letterhead, business cards, a #10 envelope, a competitive jersey, and a digital presentation of the identity system.
The colors- a red-violet, deep navy, accent yellow, and the acceptable tints thereof- create a color palette that stands out from the sea of electric greens, whites, and reds that are all too common in the esports world. The calming red-violet invokes the subdued passion for the brand present within every team member. The deep navy creates a calming feel to ensure that members feel safe and comfortable representing the brand in person and online. The accent yellow conveys the happiness and energy fostered within the ranks of the esports organization. Typographically, the Blackguard brand utilizes Than as the main display font, and Sofia Pro Soft as the body copy font. This serif and sans-serif combination gives the brand an infusion of personality while keeping the brand grounded and mature, conscious of its history, members, and fans around the world.

A full Identity System
More than just a logo, the Blackguard branding consists of an entire identity system. This ranges from business cards from the team captains, coaches, and managers, as well as a letterhead, #10 envelope, and even a competition jersey.
